A few days ago I was going to dash off a quick and silly Blogcritics post about House and its Canadian ratings. Then it became this complicated thing incorporating my thoughts on the season so far. Then I realized that the ratings stuff wasn’t fitting with the review-like stuff, so while I’m working on that longer post, I dashed off a quick and silly post about House and its Canadian ratings. Here it is:
- Dr. House: Honorary Canadian?
Why are the ratings for House proportionally so much higher in the Great White North? Read more.
A nation of repressed Houses? I’m emigrating for the snark. Not to mention how nice it’ll be to escape the glassware-breaking buffoons that surround me – with my quiet, graceful ways, I’ve never fit in here anyway.
I less than three you, Diane.
Aww, I less than three you too, loud-voiced person who causes stemware to be broken 🙂
I think everything you wrote in that article is completely true. What a wonderful, trenchant, poignant insight into the Canadian character.
Well done.
Ha, and that, ladies and gentlemen, would be the man I accuse of actually believing in all those sweeping generalizations.
You write something so good, but then you backpedal like this? Why? Why second guess yourself? How very Canadian.
Bwaah haa ha:)
Whatever, Mr. Wannabe American, practicing your obnoxiousness.
Celine Dion may be from Canada, but these days she’s mostly working and living in Las Vegas. So you really can’t hold her up as an example of Canadian good (or bad) taste.
I’m always happy to read anything about “House” that you might post.
Well, we embraced her first and continue to view her as a national treasure, plus I believe she’s the biggest contributor to our GNP*. Not to mention I think her taste is questionable.
* This might be a total fabrication.
Can I borrow the picture from that article to use as a background?
It’s a FOX promo photo so permission’s not mine to give, but … go for it.
