So, um, Blogcritics started this Blogcritic of the Month thing a few months ago where they pick one of us to highlight and interview, and I’m Miss November.
I’m sincerely touched. And kind of embarrassed. And a little embarrassed that I’m sincerely touched. I realize it’s not an Emmy, or even a Gemini, but it is very nice. If only I were touched to be embarrassed, we’d have some good symmetry going on here.
Lisa the Interviewer encouraged me to be long-winded in answering her questions. That’s like encouraging Rush Limbaugh to be obnoxious. So anyway, I warned you:
- Blogcritic of the Month: Diane Won’t Shut Up (that may not be the exact title they went with in the end)
Woohoo deekay! I knew it wouldn’t be long before your obvious talents and charms were publicly recognized. Do you get a statuette? Or at least a certificate?
Anyway, don’t forget the little people…
Nice profile. But I think there wasn’t enough Hugh Laurie.
Great interview, Diane.
Thanks guys. Except DMc: you’re a brat.
Great interview, loved to read it! (And DMc was right… But the thing is there’s NEVER enough HL!!!)
very nice Ms. Kristine, very nice…can we say you’ve arrived?
Now where’s your review of HL on last weeks SNL?
Well, I’m not sure where I’ve arrived at, but it’s still nice.
I don’t have the heart to write a review of the SNL episode. It was the first time I’d watched the whole show in years, and it reminded me why that is. I commented on it earlier:
I did see HL on SNL and I was underwhelmed. Loved him, of course, but not so much most of the sketches. I have to admit I laughed at the fart sketch, but then it went on way too long. And the Queen sketch was pretty good. The “protest song” was great, but then it was an oldie from A Bit of Fry and Laurie. I was hoping for a decent House parody and was disappointed they didn’t even try, though I suppose that’s better than having to see a dismal House parody. The rest of the show was pretty terrible, except Beck.
That’s about all I could muster as a “review.” I did like most of his monologue too, especially the jokes about British humour, but thought he seemed uncomfortable. Not that I blame him … he knew what the next hour and a half would bring.
This is Britomart. I can’t remember my blogger password. I am that lame.
You, however, are that cool. And I’m ridiculously proud to be your friend (which one could argue has always been a ridiculous proposition, but I’m in the mood to kiss up to you right now, so I won’t).
And, please, please tell me the possibility of carrots being evil was a shout out to me. Hee!
I actually like carrots. So yes, a shout out to you, ridiculous girl, just because I thought it was funny.
