Part heartfelt, part tongue in cheek, all self-indulgent, this post at Blogcritics is a reflection on what writing about House has meant to me over the past couple of years, and a bit of a swan song as I move on from writing weekly episode reviews:
- How House Changed My Life
“With chaos theory, a seemingly insignificant event can have a huge impact on an outcome. A butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil and changes the atmosphere enough to cause a sequence of events that eventually generates a tornado in Texas. So maybe House really was the initial condition that led to my life being filled with new people and experiences.” Read more.
I’ll miss your weekly reviews, but look forward to any “House” related musings that you share with us. Thank you.
No more weekly reviews??? Damn. I came to look upon those as the codas to the episodes themselves.
Well, thanks for the good times, anyway. I’ll miss them.
awwww…
Oh, say it isn’t so! I’ve loved reading your takes on each episode. As I’ve said before, you always see something that I don’t and then after I read your review I have what Oprah calls an Ahah moment. I love the show and how smart it is. As House once said, “How are you going to learn to swim if I don’t take off your floaties and throw you into the pool?” We’ll all consider ourselves thrown. I will be watching out for whatever you do have to say about House. Good luck!
Great article! Of course I’ll miss your wonderful reviews, but I know you’ll chime in with your typically insightful House thoughts every once in awhile 🙂
OH great! Is there something in the water tonight? I just came from a board I visit often and learned it’s shutting down, now I come here and see no more weekly reviews lol. I think I must be some kind of jinx.
I liked reading your reviews, I’ll miss them.
Aw, thanks guys, it means a lot to me.
Excelente artÃculo, pero… ¡cuánto vamos a extrañar tus reseñas!
(Sorry for the bad Spanish – I wanted to try!)
As always your Spanish is much, much better than my English!
I am so sorry that I came across your blog just when you decided to move on from posting weekly reviews. I love that show, by the way.
Oh, noes! One of the highlights of the weekly broadcast of “House” is getting to read your astute commentaries. It just won’t be the same without you. Your observations always enriched my understanding of this great show. I look forward to reading whatever you have to say about “House” and Hugh Laurie as the new season unfolds.

After watching tonight’s premiere, I visited your site with anticipation. Imagine my great dismay to read this post. Thanks for the fun these past seasons!
