In yet another example of biting off more than I can chew and having the missing weekend to prove it, I’ve posted part two of the fall preview TV, Eh? podcast. This one features an interview by TV writer Denis McGrath with TV writer Chris Haddock of Intelligence and Da Vinci’s Inquest, plus my conversation with Caroline and John Callaghan about fall series like Heartland, The Tudors, Da Kink in My Hair, Whistler, and Blood Ties.
Read the full show notes, subscribe via the iTunes store or with any other program via the TV, Eh? feed, or listen below – it’s about 20 minutes long.
I’ve yet to listen to part one, I thought it better to wait until I actually saw the series premieres/pilots with regard to spoilers?
This is the only one with spoilers, for Intelligence (which I know you don’t watch :). The rest are pretty general discussions.
Thanks! I’ll sync my iPod then 🙂
I really tried watching intelligence, the story itself was good as was the acting and so on, but my sight is really bad in the dark and apparently that goes for TV as well – I just don’t like to watch something I can’t see well.
By the way, my long response to the Bionic woman review from a couple of days ago seems to have been eaten up by internet bugs or something. Short summary: I liked it, even though it’s sci-fi, and I have the advantage of never having seen “version 1” or “Battlestar” so I’m not comparing. Didn’t know the first sister girl wasn’t deaf IRL (and why don’t the cast a deaf actor for that?!) and I think the hacker/geek is a bit too cliché maybe, but it probably works too.
Diane and Denis…saving Canadian tee-vee one listener at a time.
Good stuff.
Don’t forget Caroline and Callaghan!
Yeah, Corien, that’s what I thought about the deaf sister too, but I also feel I was oversensitive to that for some reason. I didn’t actually like the “new” sister very much at all, so I hope it gets better from even the aired pilot.
